Weekend Warrioring and other musings....

So my step-sister is getting married this weekend (My bio sis got married in August) and I will be celebrating the end of wedding season (I literally can't wedding anymore, the showers, the bach parties, the curling iron, the wearing things other than leggings and yoga pants *pllek*).

Step-sis's bachelorette party was this weekend and was there drama? Oh yes indeedy but guess who stayed out of it for the most part? Muah. Go me. I did see some things though.
-Step-sis's aunt got into a fist fight. I tried to stop her-she totally started it, started pushing me so I just let her go. She kind of go whooped by the chick she picked a fight with-apparently over an old boyfriend (they're like 55 which IMHO is too grown for that nonsense).
-Step-sis crashed stb BIL's bachelor party that included strippers. Her, BIL's younger sister and mother apparently were there and were APPPALED. I don't know who thought letting them go there was a good idea but I hope they learned their lesson. I mean I don't know what they thought happens at those types of parities but there was a gang of hot-mess angry drunk women that I wouldn't want to mess with at the end of the night.

I personally managed to behave, did not have a hangover the next day and went horseback riding. Now my knee is killing me because this horse is part draft and super round. People keep trying to blame my limp on the bachelorette party lol.

Meanwhile, my poor kids were with their Dad all weekend (my SO). When I came home from horseback riding yesterday afternoon I was grilled by SS as to where I was and if I was leaving again. Also, he wanted to know what was for dinner and to be sure I would not be leaving. He also informed me that he has not heard from his mom and thought she would at least call to see how the start of school was. Then there were tears. I kind of feel like a douche because it didn't even occur to me while I was out weekend warrioring that he might need a few mins of my time. Sad I let him eat ice cream for breakfast this morning which is usually a Friday ritual.

WTH - if a skid should grill my movements I will tell him - listen I'm an adult I don't need to report to you,
and when they demand dinner - ASK YOUR DAD...

you are opening yourself for huge disappointment in the future, do not let these kids manipulate you, you will not have the power to end it in 4 years time.

SS has no right demanding any adult to report their comings and goings, he's a child you are the adult
