My DH had his surgery on Tuesday. The doctor said it went very well. He only had to stay in the hospital one night. Which while short, we hope will reduce the chance of an infection.

So, he has now been home 2 nights and he said he is feeling remarkably good. His pain level is at about a 1 and only got about as high as a 4 when he was in the hospital and that mainly had to do with having stuff attached to him like a catheter, drain tube and IV ports in his hands.

All that was removed before he went home and he is basically just on light bed rest. He can eat what he wants (which has been pretty much mashed potatoes, gravy and chicken..lol) and he just really needs to take it easy for a while.

We don't have a pathology on the tumor yet, but either way, doc said it is gone 100% and should represent a full cure.

We will be hanging around the house this weekend and hope to resume more normal life for him in the next week or two. I will be going back to work on monday for a regular schedule.

We feel really fortunate and hope his recover continues along the same trajectory. He isn't 100% but he feels great considering what he went through!
