Fatness Tuesday

Acratopotes's picture

till sunnyskies comes back and bans us all to the spinning club for getting fat...

name the healthiest meal and unhealthiest meal you had in the past 24 hours

Healthy - prawn salad with no dressing
the bad one - bag of chocolates that was suppose to last me the month|!!!!!

exercising: running to the bathroom every 5 minutes due to bladder shrinking to contain only 2 drops of water, apparently drinking green tea is the culprit!!

weight lost since last checked in - about 6 pounds for January

Unhealthiest - slow roasted lamb shank in red wine with chilli, garlic, smoked paprika, bay leaves, cinnamon, salt, pepper and oregano. My side to this was saffron and parmesan flavoured rice. For dessert I had full cream mint ice cream with dark chocolate flakes

Healthiest - Roast vegetables with a lemon, rosemary and olive oil marinade

Exercise - none, it's a dirty word

Weight lost - none

Weight gained - none

Acratopotes's picture

dang just had to google it..... and am going to make me some...

I only know the deep fried ones, not boiling.... mmmmmm

I will simply put veggies in then it's healthy Wink

I made that perogie casserole a few weeks ago and it's very good and very rich. Extra bacon is a must Smile

Tuff Noogies's picture

omg pierogies. YUMMMM!

that's one of the many foods i miss from back home. Sad

Tuff Noogies's picture

ok, lets see. does toast and jam count as healthy?

unhealthy - i bought an indulgent lunch friday and had the leftovers yesterday for lunch. pollo borracho. grilled chicken marinated in tequila, served with rice, beans, bacon, and cheese sauce (same as their cheese-dip). HEAVEN.

exercising - carrying a 6-pack up a flight of stairs. 18 steps to be exact!

LadyFace, what cheese do you use in your Alfredo sauce? I make mine with fresh parmesan and gruyere. Nom nom nom...

Ok, I'll play

Healthy - Breakfast cereal this morning, an apple from my lunch yesterday.

Unhealthy - Nachos (regular and seafood), custard tart, chicken wings, birthday cake. Now that it's after Christmas, everyone keeps bringing in their unhealthy crap they have at home, so they don't gain weight.

Exercise - a short walk yesterday. 10 minutes x 2 on the vibration machine. In my opinion it doesn't really count as exercise, regardless of what they said about using up 600 calories per 10 minute session.

Weight gain/loss - afraid to check.

Acratopotes's picture

I have a vibrating machine as well }:) }:) a very very big one I stand on... and well another one as well

actually very relaxing ..... every woman should have both in the house, one helps with cellulite..the other one with stress

Acratopotes's picture

hey we call it power plates.... or crazy fit message....

US called it "vibrating" machine }:)

Acratopotes's picture

nope you can't...... I am in the office now lalalalalala not on my machine lalalalalala

I hate drinking water it's vile and disgusting, taste like shit without whisky

Acratopotes's picture

wish I could..... but apparently drinking on the job can get your fired and safety department just got a brand new bloody breathalyzer.... so they are around here every half an hour...

I already told them once, if I did not have booze in my system at 9am, I will not have booze in my system at 9:30 so get lost....

Actually, it's one like Acratopotes mentioned. Mine is the portable model.

https://www.amazon.ca/Portable-Whole-Vibration-Exercise-Machine/dp/B00JI...

The manufacturer says it burns 600 calories after using it for 10 minutes, but the reviews mostly say it's great for relaxation, circulation and stress relief.

I really like it. I've only had it a week, but the first thing I've noticed is I get a better sleep if I go on it before bed. It's great for decompression as well. I can't touch my toes before I go on it, but I certainly can after the 10 minute session.

Acratopotes's picture

hehehehe we turned this into a joke actually....

I was wondering if I should get one like this... but I know mine so well, it burns the same amount of calories on Level 20 as a 10min jog...... so I try and have 2 sessions a day....

secondplace's picture

Yes, I know I shouldn't mention the word vibrator or any variation of it on this site! Smile

Acratopotes's picture

what about duck fat? for frying

and coconut cream or oil or milk for anything else

Tuff Noogies's picture

mmmm goat cheese is yummy! i love crostini (or any sort of toasted bread) schmeared with roasted garlic, goat cheese, and pesto. pure heaven.

Acratopotes's picture

I pay the instant packets... keep it in the office....

but only the green apple/cinnamon ones, I hate the other flavors... all i have to do is add warm water..
much cheaper and healthier as my 2 slices of chocolate cake in the mornings lol

AJanie's picture

Healthiest: Egg white on an english muffin. (not even that healthy)
Unhealthiest: Fried rice covered in soy sauce, and I went back for seconds.

I am also planning to order a cheesy, fattening calzone at lunch because it is rainy and I am in a bad mood.

Acratopotes's picture

hey soya sauce falls into the healthy category in my books....

everything that taste bad must be healthy Wink

Tuff Noogies's picture

mmm calzone... there's a great little place here, i love their chicken calzone dipped in there from-scratch ranch dressing. they use plenty of creamy ricotta.

AJanie's picture

YUM. This place near my office makes a lot of great calzones but I have found the plain cheese one hits the spot! Ricotta and mozzarella, and the dipping sauce is DELICIOUS. I cannot wait until 12:00!

Acratopotes's picture

GRanny - lifting a knife and fork or a wine glass to your mouth counts as exercising in my eye

stuff just do not jump into one's mouth you know...

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Healthy: kale and broccoli salad with salmon (NO dressing) for lunch yesterday and today

Unhealthy: everything else I shove in my fat face.

Exercise: running to the bathroom to avoid pooping my pants

Weight lost: I've probably GAINED weight. I've been stress-eating like the world is ending in 5 minutes. I feel (and look) like the Goodyear blimp.

Salems Lot's picture

Healthiest, homemade beef and vegie stew and a homemade raspberry tart made with raspberries I picked from my garden and froze..(Yes that was my healthiest)
Least healthy, Honeycomb cereal...LOL It was on sale, I don't usually eat that junk.

thinkthrice's picture

healthy meal: a big salad, lettuce, bell pepper, sliced black olives
unhealthy meal: homemade mac and cheese with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice vodka martini

Hey, I have a killer cold right now. . .

sunshinex's picture

Unhealthiest would be a huge icecream sunday. I baked brownies AND cookies, put them in a bowl, topped it with chocolate icecream, than chocolate sauce. I added crumbled up oreos and mini reeses on top. It was delclious.
