THE VET WILL SEE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!! i am SO thrilled. i just got off the phone with her.

the Noogies family has grown exponentially this past year. my grandpa's been with me for almost 10 years and we've had #1skwerl for two yrs, but a year ago we got kaos a ferret. he didnt care for her appropriately so dh and i repo'd her. then in april, dog2 shows up. then in august, kat shows up. then labor day weekend, #2skwerl came home.

well, monday dh was on the couch, dog #2 was tied up outside for his morning relaxation. hubby hears him making a strange yelping sound he's never heard before. (turns out he was trying to EAT #3skwerl! Sad ) so he's our newest addition, same age as #2skwerl.

and he's paralyzed from the hips down. thank GOD he shows NO signs of pain whatsoever.

there's only one vet in town that will do "exotic" pets, like ferrets, birds, reptiles, rabbits, etc. he's done well this week, his upper body has gotten stronger, but really no improvement with the back legs or tail aside from a slight twitch from time to time. so i called that one vet and left a message. that office is soooo overrun it's not funny. so she just now called me back and said she'll check him out and x-ray him!!!!!!!!! i'm so happy!!!!! hoping to find his condition treatable, but if it's permanent it's good to know. he's still bottle-feeding and she said at that age they can heal WAY faster.

i'm excited! YAY!

skwerl update - she'll see him monday. their office was already closed for the day when she was able to return my call. he is too cute - i've got him in a little critter carrier, and he's steady climbing, building up those arm muscles!!!

i got them all some fresh veggies yesterday, #1 loves that. #2 and #3 are not too interested yet seeing as they're both still 'nursing'. but they'll get there!!!
