Just Curious...Would Love Your Opinions and Experiences
Been a while since I've posted. Things going pretty well here. DH got some $$$ to come in finally and has mostly been responsible, which is a relief for me. I'm still providing more...but that's fine. Having more of a partner financially feels great.
Anyway...just a small annoyance / thing about my SD16 that makes me shake my head. Wondering if you think this is odd or not.
SD has this thing where she proclaims guys "cute" or "hot" or "good-looking" REALLY loudly when talking to my DH. For example, they are watching Indiana Jones right now, and she's going on and on about how "hot" River Phoenix is to her dad. Like..."Mmmmmm! MMMMMMMM! He is HOT! Mmmmmm!" Groaning noises, etc.
I just find it weird. When I was that age, I remember I would rather die than let my dad know that I was sexually attracted to a boy...be he movie star or kid from my school. It just seems like something that you don't talk to your dad about.
Am I a prude? Or is this behavior strange? Would you have made "Yum,yum,yum that boy is yuh-MY" kind of noises and comments to your dad when you were a teen?

Simply ignore it and laugh inwards..... you can sit there and watch them, you will notice DH is not even paying attention.... if SD says once the guy i so hot... keep shut if she keeps on repeating it till she gets reaction, shut it down, simply say yes SD you think he's hot, you already said so, what do you want us to do about it.... he's not going to step out of the TV you know...

You are right that he doesn't pay attention to it at all or seem to notice. I feel like if I brought it up (which I won't) he would be genuinely confused.
now you have 2 options
Either ignore it as well and start talking to him regards something else.... SD will get the message believe me they do
the message she will get is.... We do not even realize you are here so shut the eff up little girl...
or you can say, rather boared and un interested (on the second time she does this) Yes SD you have said so before, no need to repeat....
If DH looks up confusingly and ask what? Smile and say: Just girl talk Hon... DH will be glad cause you are talking to his daughter, he will be so happy he will go back doing what he was busy with
