My b.f ex-wife stole my marriage certificate and late husbands death certificate.  What do I need to do to protect myself from identity theft? She stole it on her sons birthday. I'm going to make a police report on it and notify the DMV. Then bring this up in court because we do have video of her coming to the house.

Most marriage licenses don't have much personal info on them that could be used for identify theft - at least they don't in my state. What was on there besides your names and where and when you got married?

Yeah, I think ours just has our names, too.  Are you filing charges on BM for trespassing? I assume she wasn't invited into your house.

But you can freeze your credit just in case.
