A few questions
First off, I am EXTREMELY delighted I accidently came accross this site, I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand her step-child and felt bad for doing so. I am new to the whole blogging think, under my account and I blog, is it public? Do I need to create a forum topic in order to reach out to others? A lil blogging 101 would be extremely helpful! tThank you so much!

If you want to be able to write something and later delete it because of privacy issues, do it in the blogging section, not in the forum section, as you can't delete the latter. Your blogs will be saved in the section "My Blog" on the top left of your screen, until you decide to delete them. Everyone can see the blog. Also, the blog has the advantage over forum topics that if you get any nasty comments from a troll, or something that upsets you, you can delete a particular comment.

Also, blogs show up on the "home" page -- so you will get more responses. It's been my experience that forum posts get kind of buried.
