Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

This summer a deluge of
This summer a deluge of scantily clad youngsters will show up at the barn. Spaghetti straps, no bra. Uhmmmm, a bit of embarrassment for the ones watching, just as seeing early "nips" with 9-year-old kids. Young girl-woman celebrating and wallowing in their womanliness. I'll bet that their parents are praising that their beloved children are off to healthy activities while underdressed. I've lived Southern: shirtless, shirt-limited, bouncing-unlimited -- do not make a Lady. You still cover up a bit for modesty.
Teaching moment with my BS-then-5 discussing how I could tell that the black mare was ridden by a woman while the sorrel was ridden my a man: "Ohhhhhh, girls go 'boingy-boingy.'"
(Aside: However, I used to skinny-dip with abandon, perhaps, when dinosaurs walked the earth. I enjoyed the feeling.) Head-nod.

Oh wow this post brings back memories! When I was 15 my friends and I were caught up in a (local) wave of anti-bra hysteria. Unfortunately for me, while my friends were a and b cups, I was a solid C already. I went to a riding lesson braless. It was the most painful lesson in the necessity of a bra in my entire life! Never again!
The chaffing.. ack! But re
The chaffing.. ack!
But re the bra. Was it a sports bra or a lingerie bra? Today's athleisure trend makes a sportsbra an acceptable top for many.
I remember my YSD and her friend over at our house when she was maybe 16. There were some boys who were 17 or 18 that came over to the pond to go fishing. There go the two girls in their daisy dukes and bikini tops to follow the boys around like puppies.
The guys actually couldn't care less..haha.
The minute they came up to reapply lip gloss or something, I told them to cover up and that they looked like they were desperate. I mean, yes, they both looked good.. but it was soooo obvious that they were trying to get the guys to notice them.
