Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Yep - the house I grew up in
Yep - the house I grew up in didn't have air conditioning. We had two window units in the house - one in the kitchen and one in my parents' bedroom. 4 kids split between two bedrooms, no air conditioning - how on EARTH did we survive into adulthood?
Oh, I know how. We just did it.
I myself am in cosleeping
I myself am in cosleeping hell with my almost one year old. I'm taking a week off from work to sleep train her again
Co-sleeping with a one year
Co-sleeping with a one year old is very different than a 5 and 3 year old. I had to sleep train twice with my BD and the second time was much smoother than the first. Good luck, stay strong and know it's the right thing to do for your child. Good healthy sleep is so important.

And you also know that there
And you also know that there are whole slew of single women who crossed that man's path, saw the situation for what it was (Disney Dad enabling much??) and ran for the hills.
