Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

You know, I'm on a mission to
You know, I'm on a mission to stamp out the view of Dad = ATM at our house.
If I do nothing else in this family, I am going to accomplish that. Dad is a PERSON. A FINE one. HIS money is HIS money and he don't owe you nuthin'!
For crying out loud, he pays reams of child support and more -- stop standing there with your hand out and eyes rolling!
In the early days when
In the early days when miniwife syndrome was at its highest nauseating fever pitch she actually believed half of his stuff was hers and her name should be on his bank account.
OMG they are unbelieveable.
I've been married to the man
I've been married to the man for fifteen years and don't even come close to such entitlement
How does one go about asking
How does one go about asking something like that!?
"Hey Dad! I was thinking. You should buy a house so that when you die, I will inherit it. Oh and make sure the house has a pool, a jacuzzi and and fully functional wet bar."
That is exactly how it
That is exactly how it sounded to me.
Why on earth doesn't dad notice how brazen and tacky such a statement is?
I just ignored it because her other motive in saying something like this is to try and start something.
The girl is a shit stirrer extraordinaire.
I would have said, "Who is to
I would have said, "Who is to say that any of DH's children will outlive HIM?" with your best evil SM smirk.
I'm 6 years younger than your
I'm 6 years younger than your SD. & My brain would NOT recognize that title. I read it over and over as "SD wants to buy a house" & then was reading the blog like what? Maybe SD means stepdad? No that doesn't make sense... THEN I read it like the 100th time & was like... is this b*tch serious????! LOL
What you should have said
}:) What you should have said was "But that makes no sense SD, when he dies his estate passes to ME not YOU!"
(just kidding - OMG can you imagine the hornets nest THAT would stir up!)
