DH agreed to counseling..
DH is staunchly against couseling, for what reason I don't know. I told him last night that I would go without him because I know the stress of everything going on here is too much for me to handle. Tonight, DH said he'd give it a try; "can't hurt, right?"
I'm still not sure where that leaves us. He's still sleeping on the couch and we still say very little to each other. I'm trying to give him whatever space he needs. I suppose it will take time.
DH finally opened up and told me he has more on his plate than I knew. I disengaged a couple weeks ago and have not been keeping up with SS7s behhavior at school. DH tells me that SS7 has been in trouble at school all week and cussed at his teacher a few times. His teacher has asked us to both attend a parent teacher conference to find out what the problem is. I agreed to attend.
DH also told me that his father's cancer is in remission and he went in to have a proceedure done yesterday that would tell him how bad it is. His mother, the beast that she is, hasn't called him with an update and won't answer his calls. Neither will any of his 3 brothers or his sister in law. He's incredibly worried. I asked him to tell his father well wishes from BD1 and I (despite absolutely hating everyone in DH's family). I even offered to make dinner and take it over for them.
DH then went on to tell me that he got a speeding ticket a few days ago and doesn't have the money to pay for it. Our bills are so tight right now but I offered DH the money from our savings account.
DH took the last two days to sleep and relax but tonight he looks so stressed out and tired. He looks like he's aged 10 years over night. I do too. Hopefully the counseling will help.
