Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

LMAO! Maybe I could take it
LMAO! Maybe I could take it before our judge & get the custody order changed. I mean, really...who can honestly argue that it's in the "best interest of the child" to leave them with The Mother of All Demons? I guess I shouldn't ask. I feel certain our judge will find a way to justify the order as it stands, & as a side-note, she'll have me doing time for hurting BM's feelings.
I check her page every now &
I check her page every now & then because she is the one who updates on what the skids are doing. DH has had no contact with them in over a year (aside from a 10 min phone call from SD13 on Father's Day). FB is the only way we are able to keep up with them & what they're doing. It's how we found out that SS16 broke his ribs, & in the last month it has given us a heads-up on BM's cancer & the fact that she is starting chemo in September.
I understand the take some people have regarding Facebook about their life in BM's home is not our business, but it really is the ONLY way we know ANYTHING about their lives at all.
Nope.
Nope.
