Totally diggin..........

okay, so I'm totally diggin this sight so far. I took a little look see around and decided that this is my kinda place. So why not start of my first blog with the way my night went.
We (my girls 10&11, SS8, and I) got home just as my WONDERFUL hubby did after we had a long day of the library, the park and shoe shopping (all things that Wench never does). the corned beef and cabbage had been in the crock pot all day. SS8 called Wench as he does every evening that we have him and it went alil something like this...
Wench- "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" (in a baby tone cause she doesn’t know yet that SS is 8 not 2)
SS- " hi mooooooommmmmmyyyyyy" (in a baby voice cause he knows she likes it)
Wench- " what are you doing"
SS- "We just got home we had so much fun today. we went to the park and the library and shoe shopping but we couldn’t find shoes I like so we're gonna go again tomorrow"
Wench- "really? did the girls get shoes?"
SS- "yeah"
Wench- "oh. I guess M___(me) figured you don't want shoes... what’s for dinner"
***SS Asks me***
SS- "Corned Beef and cabbage with potatoes
Wench- "EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWEEEEE.... That sounds Gross"
SS- "M____ says its good"
Wench- " that’s because M___ has an acquired taste for nasty food. tell her to make you something good to eat"

P.S. he loved my nasty food.... had two bowls of it after telling me " It's okay M___ she just says that stuff cause she wants me to hate you"

Welcome! I'm fairly new

Welcome! I'm fairly new here, too, and I just love it here! Such a great place to vent and get feedback. Sounds like you have a wonderful relationship with all your kids. That is awesome! Your SS sounds like a very level-headed, with-it young man. Good for him for being able to separate BS from fact. Smart kid. I hope that BM is never able to turn him against you. It sounds like you all have a pretty good connection already. That is soooo great! I wish I could say the same. So glad you are here and I look forward to reading more of what you have to say.

Well... now.... lets not jump the preverbal gun here. By no means am I (are we) lucky enough for SS8 to be in a wonderful relationship with him. We are only in a "good" one with him depending on the length of time he is away from Wench. He is intelligent enough to know that she is wrong but she is manipulative enough to make him forget.
