UGH!! The Princess of Darkness is visiting this weekend!

Shaman29's picture

Crap! I was hoping she'd come up with some excuse not to show up this weekend. DH's face was white for about a half hour after finding out she's coming over tonight, and he was completely quiet for several hours. He's not happy about her coming over either. The only thing he said about it was "Wonder what I'm going to be extorted for this time".

I have no desire to spend my weekend with an ungrateful, spoiled, entitled POS. But I will do my best for DH's sake and not completely leave him on his own. He is not very good about hiding how he feels about anyone....that includes his own child.

However tonight....yeah.....I think I need to balance my checkbook and clean up the office!

How old is SD? Hide the checkbook! And just ignore her. If she asks for something, let her see you balancing your account and say "honey, sorry. There's just nothing left."

She is 13, smells like dirty shoes and acts like she's 5.

That's the plan, outside of common courtesy and basic civility, she is getting ignored. I just can't abandon DH completely because he's about as happy about her visit as I am.

Fortunately, DH and I keep our finances separate, so she gets to know nothing about my money and how I spend it. She's very good at interrogating us on why we bought this or how come we bought that....but I'm even better at telling her "our purchases are none of your concern or any of your business."

They took a wrong turn and ended up at my house! Wanna trade skids this weekend??? But if mine shows up at your place, hide your valuables. She will steal, destroy or lose anything of sentimental or monetary value to you. Blum 3

I have two nicknames for her.....the other is step-demon. Smile

Princess of Darkness is a great name LOL!! and step-demon Wink

We have had that conversation too - once my SD said Why on earth would DH buy a boat? (what kid talks like this? oh the mouthpiece for BM) and I answered, Who wants to know? and then DH told her that it is none of her business what we buy and to tell her mom that too.

""once my SD said Why on earth would DH buy a boat?""

I refinanced my house (mine only so I get to spend the bucks) and we bought a used Harley.
SD6 actually asked me where Daddy and you got the money to buy it....I smiled sweetly and said 'we have jobs'.

We were able to buy a motorcycle for my BF as well and SD8 asked the same thing! He told her that he "saved up the money in his piggy bank to buy it", she just shrugged her shoulders and became grumpy. She then proceeded to tell him that she did not like his motorcycle.

BM NEVER let him have a motorcycle while they were married not b/c she thought they were dangerous but b/c she did not want him to have any kind of fun. My BF's words. How sad.

If my kid asked me that question,'none of your business. go to school and get a good job and you can buy your own'
skids asks and you have to be nice and polite and CPS was called on us 2 weeks later. Coincidence, I think not.

But isn't that always the way. BM's like to know every detail going on in our lives (still trying to figure out why) but they make sure everything in their lives are kept secretive! I try not to buy things when we go out with the kids unless it's groceries! That way anything I buy for myself or DH is less likely to be told to BM. That nosey biatch.
