My BS10 just allowed his mommy (ME) to know he has a girlfriend for the first time ever in his life. He is in fifth grade and she is in seventh. He is big for his age but part of me is going thats my baby and the other part of me is going, way to go! LOL.

Oh yea! That is one of the things I have tried my very best to teach him. Smile I worry more about the girl breaking his heart because he is such a sweety. I have caught myself mentioning twice already that them older girls break hearts. Bad Mommy.

Hee! Too cute. FSD9 recently got "asked out" by a boy in her grade. I think that means they're boyfriend and girlfriend now. FH told her she would have to bring him over so he could meet him. -giggle-

That is so adorable! Isn't it nice when others seem to find our children as adorable as we do?

Im so trying not to be the overprotective mom in this situation. I am deeply frightened of my reaction when DD7 becomes interested in boys. Smile

Ahh this brought back memories! I had my first "boyfriend" in 7th grade and it consisted of talking (more like giggling) on the phone, riding our bikes past his house, chasing each other around the park, and saying "hi" to each other in the hallways at school. We went to one movie together before I decided I didn't really want to "go out" with him anymore.

I agree that this is really cute because I'm sure it's totally harmless!! It is just one stepping stone towards teenager-land Smile
