Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I agree. Can you say "bye Felicia"?
well, lady, not sure if this
well, lady, not sure if this applies to every municipality or not, but here's how bail bonds work around here. a warrant puts a 'hold' on someone, so if they're picked up for something else, they'll deal with that actual arrest first, THEN be held in custody for however long it takes for the 'hold' to be resolved.
she had warrants in three jurisdictions. she got arrested here, then the other two holds showed up. she had to bond out here first on the stuff this county had (which her mom did - more on that in a sec). the next county then sent someone over to pick her up and take her to their jail. she sat there until someone (no idea who, my friend said they cant release that info) paid THAT bond for their charges. THEN she was transferred to the third jurisdiction, which is where she sits now. as far as i can tell, there are no other holds out for her, so if someone bonds her out up there, she's OUT-out. that's when i think she'll disappear.
she's had these wts for over two and a half years and managed to lay low enough for that time. i think she'll disappear upon release.
ok, so back to g-ma. she put up a 10k property bond for her in Noogies County. she then had second thoughts and decided to go "off bond". well the dumbass at the jail didnt sign the paperwork, so she's still on the hook for 10k. she can re-do it, but it's a bit harder now that dumbass is no longer in custody HERE. i'm sure she's weighing out her options versus mother instincts. i just cant believe she actually tried to go through w/ coming off her bond in the first place!!! :jawdrop: GO G-MA. she knows exactly what a piece of shit her own spawn is. so sad.
clusterF is my term for her.
