How many of you have DHs who do nothing but guilt parent and free range yet say they are STRICT parents?!

And for the bonus round. . .

How many of these same DHs examine YOUR bios through an electron microscope LOOKING for flaws?

I don't have any bios on my own but we have a bio together, and my husband talks about his expectations for her when she gets older (she's 15 months now). Yet he doesn't apply these same expectations to SD6 currently.

He'll also often see kids in public who are misbehaving, and he says stuff like, "If that was my kid......" and goes on to say how he would discipline them and the consequences they would have for bad behavior. But again, when SD does something similar, he doesn't follow through.

OMG they are reading off the SAME SCRIPT!!! Chef does this all.the.time!!!!!

He only attempted to discipline his kids ONCE (zero corporal punishment) and immediately the BM (who works for CPS in her county) drew up a trumped up CPS report the following Monday.

BM works for CPS? And she made an exaggerated/essentially false claim?? That is crazy. What happened after that? Were you investigated? And it was just for normal disciplining that all (most) parents do. Crazy.

If she makes enough false claims, it will work against her, anything from being ordered psych evals to losing her job, so let her... Go ahead and discipline the kid and have it all on camera each and every time. This is great! Fail proof, really.

She got the charges trumped up and sent straight to the NYS Child abuse and Maltreatment Register without a chance to dispute. *Somehow* the report and opportunity for rebuttal paperwork never made it to my mailbox. "Clerical error" doncha know (yeah right; just like the IRS lost the emails)

At the time, I wrote letters to my representatives and my county's DA about the abuse of power by the BM. NOTHING happened. Thing is, if she did lose her job (no way, it's a government job) she would have gone back for even MORE CS!

Chef at first took the "guilty as charged" VERY lightly. Like it was "No Big Deal" (TM). He fought with me about it's relevance. Sure enough a year later he was working on HVAC equip. for a BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB. Something he would have NEVER been allowed to do had I not taken the time (six months of paperwork) to get it rescinded. To this day he is unappreciative. If he EVER gets in a pickle again, I am NOT bailing him out again. EVER.

Yeppers! Mine makes rules

Yeppers! Mine makes rules for all and then expects them for mine but throws them out for his when they are not convenient. Then he twists his initial reasoning for the rule so it seems very appropriate for the rule to be changed. Selective memory, it is called....

I do not have any bio kids and, at this point, don't expect I ever will. I'm kind of done with kids. Lol.
