O/T Surface Tablet Keyboard--Oh How Do I Hate Thee

thinkthrice's picture

Let me count the ways!

1. No keyboard "feel"
2. Endless opportunities for typos
3. Being slowed down due to the deliberate pecking needed instead of touch typing
4. Spacebar seldom works -- circuitry too close I assume
5. No I do NOT want to open a new tab in the browser when hitting the "T" key and some other unknown keystroke!!!

Preaching to the choir!! I dread what next school year is going to be like when we are dropping in touch screens and Windows 8 to the staff members. If *I* can't stand it, I hate to imagine the pissed off people I am going to have to deal with. UGH

If you are talking about the surface pro... get the more expensive keyboard... it is awesome. Backlight raised. Mouse is okay, but I use a wireless one with it and this is all I travel with now... absolutely best tablet with MS office...

I turned off the auto correct on the tablet by killing a few DLLs. Shouldn't be that complex! I mean what if you type in two different languages??!!
