Here in the U.S. and Canada, Halloween is coming up. Anyone have any fav horror movies?

So far the list at the Thinkthrice abode is:

1. The Grudge (love the "hair ghost" and I can actually mimic the sound LOL)
2. Magic (old Anthony Hopkins/Anne Margaret)
3. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Chef likes this one)
4. Exorcist (the original--just not that scary anymore after dealing with Chef's kids)
5. Picture of Dorian Grey (I like the classics)
6. Wait until Dark (Audrey Hepburn thriller)
7. Bram Stoker's Dracula (with Winona Ryder)
8. Evil Dead (70's cult film)
9. The Pyx (another 60's cult film)
10. The Great Pumpkin (ok I threw that one in there--love me some Charlie Brown/Peanuts)

I like the ghost/paranormal stuff and Chef likes the slasher stuff.

I am going to have a Halloween party Saturday and I was thinking about this today. About what movies I should play? Have you seen the Conjuring? Oh that was so scary! and Insidious?!?!

I like the cheesy ones from when I was a teenager- Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Urban Legend.

I do not like the ghost/paranormal stuff. It freaks me out too much. But I'll pretty much watch whatever if it's on tv or if DH/BS wants to see it in the theater.

I like some of the TV series stuff. My Haunted House, Paranormal--True Terror. I watch it when Chef isn't at the house (now with his new schedule, he is away more often giving me more alone time). I find them entertaining.

He usually makes comments during those shows that the people complaining about ghosts have been doing too many drugs, etc.

Interview with a Vampire

I even like the silent movie Nosferatu; the make up was fantastic for that day and age. I imagine a few men and women fainted during that flick.

Love just about everything everyone has listed. If you want to try something funny scarey try Bubba Ho-Tep, from writer Joe R Lansdale, he's my fav Horror writer.
