Hoping for a Good Day

Sweetie's picture

Well, I seem to be off to a good start this morning. It rained pretty heavily last night again. In fact, we've had showers for the last 3 days now. I am actually moving along a little earlier than usual which is unusual for me, of late. I had the dogs outside and my husband has been throwing the dead frogs out of the pool skimmers but apparently missed, and I found one had apparently hit our trailer parked on the secondary access road. Yuck! I'm not picking it up...but hope it doesn't get too hot today or that thing will be good and cooked by the time he gets home today to clean up his missed shot!
Still haven't heard a peep from biomom about a new address or phone #. Not that I really want one, just that it's helpful to have the correct address so the check goes to the right spot. And I still haven't gotten those copies of old medical bills that are now over six months old. She'll try and send everything at once to get it paid--I know that's what will happen. And I'll tell her to take a hike.
I'm planning a nice quiet drive to purchase some dog toys, and vegetable plants for outside. Just a few little things to make life a bit more pleasant. Bullet has been biting the heads off my flowers again. I'm hoping next year that my husband will have put in raised beds for my vegetable gardens. He is also planning on buying a tiller--the ground is rock hard like cement and clay in spots. But I have a variety of different types of flowers and plants here--much different than I had in the East-in MD. I hope everyone is having good weather. I have done quite a bit of landscape work in the pool area; part of it is portable in pots so I can take it into my greenhouse in the winter. My mandevilla plant is quickly growing and I am waiting for flowers now. And I have a banana tree that is about three and half feet tall and still growing like crazy. I should bananas next season. And we have nice lush potted palms. Crepe myrtles, lilies, irises, and a variety of grasses have been planted at the head of the pool area with the sides lined with dwarf Japanese maples. And on the sides of the fencing I have hanging fuchsia potted bougainvilleas on each side-3 to a side. Accented by seagrass tiki torches trimmed with black metal in stakes.
I am trying for a positive attitude today so I am off to search for some toys for Bullet. He has chewed thru 3 tennis balls yesterday. He's got some really strong choppers! Hope everyone has a super day!
Regards,
Sweetie
