Today was more calming and I was able to get a couple of things taken care of for Father's Day. I got a couple of cards in the mail for my Dad and also bought one for my husband. I don't expect that he will hear from either of my SK. But I went ahead and decided to combine his Father's Day and Birthday gift (which is next month) and let him pick out a DVD/VHS recorder as he has been wanting a DVD recorder. Since there was only a difference of about $35, I figured why not just get him something a little nicer. Now, he can record the movies right onto the cd's, which should hopefully keep him quiet for awhile. Bullet, is 7 months old today, and becoming more and more energetic. He has been climbing onto my lap on more than one occasion in the last couple of days. And I am guessing that he is well over 50 lbs at seven months, now! I had him out running at mid-day yesterday to stretch his legs out. He is a very happy, playful pup! Also, I have gotten a break from my 15 year old miniature poodle with no messes in 2 days. We are working out a meeting of the minds. And my five year old rescue has a birthday next month, too. But Murphy is a real angel, but a firecracker at times. He remains quite playful and still wants me to chase him around the yard. And he sure can fly!
I am sensing a lot of negativity from my husband about the stepkids. I am going to try and find some kind of activity to distract him on Sunday. I am hoping the weather will cool back down. I am making progress getting my prescriptions but have to go back for my follow up appts that I missed last week. Not enough time to get things done here at home....and I always get this feeling when my husband comes home like he thinks I've been sitting here doing nothing.
Well, I gotta check on my pup.
