BM complain about how much the kid(s) cost them. Do you think they realze how much they "save" when the kid(s) are with the other parent for parenting time? We figured we save BM at least $50 every weekend that we have baby with the cost of diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, clothes, toys, diaper cream, bath stuff, laundry, wear and tear on her carseat and baby stuff etc not including transportation to and from. We meet BM but not half way we picked a spot that is like 20 miles for her and like 35 for us. So we are even nice about not asking her to drive half-way.

Any thoughts??

My SS's Male-genetic-contributor and his family thrive on drama, complaining, bitching and playing the victims. When we give up our time when there is an extenuating circumstance so that they can have him for visitation it is expected but when need flexibility from them it is a burden and we are taking advantage.

Their latest issue (going on for nearly four years) is that they want us to pick up more than 50% of travel costs because of the price of tickets as well as give them more time than is stipulated in the judgement because "we moved to a school district just so that their time would be reduced and it would cost them more in travel expenses". All we did was find the closest blue ribbon district to our places of employment and move to it. Now that he is in boarding school they are in hyper active victim mode because we put him there just to alienate him from them. HE ASKED TO GO! Idiots!
No matter what the situation may be it is their perspective that we are doing whatever we do just to take advantage of them. AND THE JUDGE GIVES THE MORON CREDIT FOR MY INCOME TO REDUCE HIS CS LEVEL??????????????

So to answer your question.......... there is no possible way on this planet that they (the blended family opposition) comprehend that "we" help "them" financially and most likely are not even capable of enough rational thought or intelligence to comprehend the concept. Remember, "they" are the victims.

IDIOTS! At least it appears that the overwhelming majority of them are in the single digit IQ level.

GRRRRR! Sorry for the rant.

Just my thoughts of course.

Good luck and best regards,

I have a different outlook on what should be considered parental expense and what shouldn't than most people anyway. I don't think that the bills and utilities - phone, internet, gas bill, electricity, etc. should be considered parenting expenses because we would be paying those anyway and so would she if SS wasn't with us. I can see how keeping a baby would make an impact on money because they do cost a lot of money, mainly in feeding them. BD actually costs us much more to feed than SS does. I have yet to see an increase in our grocery bill from having SS with us, even when we have him for weeks at a time.

But I digress.

All SS's BM seems to think about is how much the world inconveniences her and how horrible everyone treats her. She never stops to think about all the trouble that everyone goes through because of things that she has done. She never thinks about how much money she has cost us over the years when she complainins about having to hire a lawyer to fight the countersuit that originated from her own lawsuit because we didn't just sit down and take it. It seems that it is a common staple in mot BMs on this site to be self-centered and not care about the trouble and expense that the rest of the world goes through because of them.
