O/T Finding joy in the little things

SM12's picture

So far today has been uber craptastic....
Have to get 10 days work done in three....and covering for another employee who is out.
Trying to get laundry done for our mini vaca and dealing with DH(the biggest baby of all) about all the boys in the
house stealing his damn socks. UGHHHHHHHH AND....its Stepshit night....

Just happened to look out my office window and see a gorgeous hummingbird just floating there staring back at me.
My office is on the third floor of our house and overlooks the back yard which is all wooded so usually there isn't much
to see.
I don't know why but that little visit just brightened up my otherwise Blah day.... Smile

I feel for you!! The moment I got promoted, Co-worker #1 had a shit fit and went out on disciplinary action (we're headed into two months now of unpaid leave)

Co-worker #2 had a mental breakdown (Fbombing screaming hissy fit) because he thought the promotion was based on seniority (it wasn't; it was based on hard work, skill and initiative) then conveniently went out on "disability" (he's about six months out from turning 65) for coming up on three months now. I say don't bother coming back.

Co-worker #3 who is actually a higher title but refuses to do modern computer programming, got involved in this out of title work (desktop support) but sides completely with Co-worker #1 (they're actually old grade school chums) and will NOT help me out or do anything extra (same attitude as Co-worker #1)

IMHO they should all be shown the door but because this is a union job. . . not so much.

So THANK GOD I can go home and look at my bird and butterfly paradise that I created by planting boatloads of perennials and annuals. Yes they do brighten your spirits don't they??

Can you get an adult beverage, chocolate bar after work then take a long, relaxing bath? Sounds like you really need and deserve it!
