So angry

Siferra's picture

Tonight SS5 both pulled the dog's tail, and kicked her with his foot. I am shaking I'm so angry. He's in time out right now and I hopped on here to calm down.

I'm SO furious!

OMG...is your DH home? He needs a VERY stern talking to! I have flat out banned my Skids in the past for mis-treating my dogs!

Have you asked him how he would like being kicked and yanked around?

Yeah - he's in a special class for children with emotional and behavioral problems. His dad wasn't home so he got the stern talking to from me and I made him apologize to the dog. She's not hurt - but that sort of thing is totally zero tolerance.

hunny.. no offense but if just kicking a dog gets you that upset you got a long hard road ahead of you considering the child having so many issues.. i also understand if you deal with many things on a daily basis it can be frustrating. my son has a touch of add and ive had to remind him a few times not to hit the dog, to be gentle. a lot of boys go through that when you have to worry is when he actually hurts the dog or kills small animals.. be patient.. always remember to breathe.. and in behavioral issues children always try to get on their level and talk.. when you yell.. they clam up and dont reply and for sure dont hear a word you say. my neice is that way and its the only thing that works.. not to say when i turn around shes not doing something else ridiculous but it makes a big difference and you stress less. good luck

I hope your dog is ok, that would make me so mad, my ss tried to hurt the dog one time and after that I told him if he couldn't respect the dog then he couldn't go near the dog, it was a year becore he earned back the privlage to be near the dog.

The school he is in is doing wonders for him, and the teachers are great. It's just a long road and exhausting.

I didn't yell at him, I put him in time out and came here to vent. Time out is as much for me as it is for him Smile I sternly told him we don't hit the dog and made him apologize to her.
