A Year Off

Siferra's picture

When DH and BM broke up she moved in with her parents. A year later they told her that she needed to either go to school, get a job, or move out. She opted for school as the path of least resistance.

Here we are, 4 years later, and she is a year away from being done with school to earn her degree in elementary education. She wants to teach kindergarten (I don't think she has taken in to account how much work that will be, but whatever)

Found out she's taking a year off now. The only student teaching positions available were a half hour drive away, so she's deciding not to bother. Her parents recently bought a condo as an investment and she is living there for free now.

I know it's none of my business, but it's too good of a story to waste. I've never met anybody more lazy. I will be absolutely shocked the day she gets a real job. So far in her life she's worked 2 weeks at a pizza hut.

Pretty much the same story here! BM was supposed to graduate to become a school teacher 6 months ago. Found out because she takes summer off, and most of her classes have been cooking, and sign language, it's going to be several more years. Judge told her to get a job 3 1/2 years ago. That never happened. Her dad pays for all her schooling and has bought her 3 vehicles because she can't be bothered with normal maintenance, so they break down. And she has the nerve to complain about how "hard" things are...

BM doesn't work, never has, just lied about birth control and popped out skids. Now she's mooching off her fake husband. They can't really get married or the welfare system will cut her payments and then her husbands income might be considered her income and could lower DH's child support.

I am stunned by how she "accidentally" got knocked up, unmarried, no job, no money, no experience, not even a high school diploma. And she did it twice.

I glad now that she is "married" that she figured out how her birth control pills work. Oh! You take one EVERY day??

When BM started getting welfare, she was forced to go to school or get a job.

She decided she wanted to be a nurse. Last fall she enrolled in a two night a week, 5 month CNA program. Here it is almost a year later and she's still hasn't completed the FIVE MONTH program. :?
