So we just had dinner...

I'm a great cook...Used to manage a cafe...always the person people want to cook, or friends call to see what I'm cooking...etc...

So SD just ate...Had 2 helpings...As she was eating, she kept telling me, "Ms. Shielded, this is so good..." Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it...Eat as much as you like...I told her...

So as she's talking, she tells DH, after I leave the table to start dishes, "That was so good...Like the best ever..." DH, still worried that she's not eating properly at her mom's asks her, "Great! You eat like this all the time, right?" SD says, "Kinda...But it's never this good...I told my mommy that Ms. Shielded cooks really, really good and...

DH blurted out, "Honey...wait!"

SD says, "I know Dad...I shouldn't have told her that...She got really, really mad and yelled at me when I said that, and called Ms. Shielded the "B" word."

DH just raised his eyebrows and talked to her about how it wasn't nice to call people names, etc...

While I'm glad she enjoys my cooking (I didn't realize some of the awful stuff a lot of SM's go through during meal times)...REALLY BM...YELL at your child? You'd THINK she'd be glad that her child was eating healthy food and was happy...Guess not...and Why I got to be a "B"?? LOL...

Hah! Love the food wars.

SD15 is grossly overweight. She wasn't until around the age of 8, when BM and her, "Oh, I'm a poor single mom!" schtick became the controlling force. BM won't cook anything other than quick and nasty boxed crap, and is morbidly obese.

SD15 loses weight every time she stays with us. We eat well - quality protein, good carbs, lots of vegetable - and SD15 loves it. She is an outstanding cook for a teenager - she can follow a recipe and WANTS to try new things. We made pizza from scratch this summer, including making the dough. SD15 told us that when she told BM that she wanted to do that... "You should have seen the look of horror on her face!"

Yup, I'm a B for a lot of reasons. It's satisfying to know that I can get under her skin when I haven't spoken a word to her in three years.

so ridiculous! I can in all honesty say I would be thrilled if my son had a step mom who took wonderful care of him, including cooking wonderful meals. I'll never get how these woman just let their spite, jealousy and immaturity blacken out all the good that stepmoms do. And the putting the skids in the middle is even so much more ridiculous.

Your a "B" because she is jelous of you. I also live to cook! Grew up in an Italian household and it was all about food. If there is one thing Im greatful for is my Mother taught me how to cook and to always be passionate about food because it brings a family around the table. My SD's Mom does not cook. THey pick what fast food joint they are going to for dinner or where they are gona order from. My SD loves dinner time here. I know her Father is very happy that she is getting home cooked meals. Last week he argued with BM and asked her when was the last time she cooked her daughter a home cooked meal. She knows I love to cook. Well this pissed her off very much. So much that she spoke to me about it. I was laughing....what did she want me to say? Ahhh sorry you are no where near the caliber of woman I am!! So go on Girl Cook your ass off....Men love when you feed them and their children well:)
