Not related to the Skid's departure, but ..... we bought tickets for a week in Vegas two weeks after the kid goes to basic.

My wife has a conference and I am going to be her arm candy.

SS-18's "friend" will be her for spring break on Sun. She is a friend of his from HS and they have been flirting with a relationship for years. This will be their first 1:1 time together as they are both a part of a bigger group of fiends. She has accompanied us to events, dinners, etc... several times over the years but they are doing the college aged kid spring break thing next week. The South Padre, Devils Cove, the River Walk, Enchanted Rock. He has a very comprehensive plan on how to hit all of these places and his favorite restaurants in a week.

We have been doing a lot of family bonding stuff. Cooking new recipes together, going to movies, cutting up felled trees in my parent’s yard and hauling stuff off. Okay, the tree stuff was work and not entirely fun but we had a good time doing it together. My wife had a salon apt in the AM on Sat. then we drove three hours to mom and dads. She was very sexy in her hair, nails and makeup hauling tree branches. :jawdrop:

We have had a good time. The kid has commented several times how much fun he has had with us all together lately.

It is going to be tough when he leaves.

For all of us.

Our baby is growing up.
