when to stop giving pjs for christmas

purpledaisies's picture

I've been sitting here thinking. My 2 kids are in college my skids are 18 16 14. As the kids get older and start their own families when should I stop giving Pjs on Christmas eve every year?

I give every kid a new set on Christmas eve to have some thing new and something to open. It's a tradition and I remember on year dh talked me out of it and they were all disappointed.

But as they get older and have families of their own I can't afford to buy pjs for them and their kids Snd spouse. But I love giving the Pjs.

What to do?

Continue your tradition with your kids. If they want to pass it to their kids, they can buy for them. That's the whole point in traditions Smile

Do it. Do it. Do it.

It's pajamas and it makes them happy. I don't see the bad here. Smile

My mom still does this. As we've gotten older shes gotten us the funniest pjs she can find. Last year she gave me a floor length pink flannel night gown with cats all over it lol

My mother still does it, and I did it for the SDs our first xmas together. MY mom doesn't buy PJs for the skids of BS because I do it. She did buy pjs for FDH and my sisters BF, but we're the only ones with long-term SOs, my three younger siblings don't really date.. for whatever reason lol.

There are some really cute stuff for older kids. The girls even like the mens 'sleep pants'.

You know what I want this year for xmas?

Pokemon panties.

Reliving my childhood through wearing it on my crotch and butt.
