I have a great plan!

I talked to dh about last year when the boys didn;t pack enough clothes and I had to do laundry during vaca. and I was not happy about that. Dh said he would talk to the boys about how many outfits they would need (10) and to make sure they pack them. I know some people will do laundry so they don;t have to pack as much but i am on vaca. I I don't want to do any kind of house work!

So I decided that IF they don't bring enough I will tell dh that it is his problem and he will have to do laundry or what ever he thinks he should. However I will NOT buy them any clothes! }:)

Not only should you not buy them any clothes, you shouldn't be doing their laundry. They can do it themselves!

Are you picking them up at their house? I, or rather i would have dh check their bags right there to make sure they have 10 acceptable outfits. This has always been a chronic problem with ss13 for vacations and such. It does not matter if we specify the exact number of shirts, shorts, jeans, etc. We can specify the type of clothes-jeans or khaki shorts, tennis shoes and flipflops. It never matters. I think he packs poorly on purpose IMO. One year we went camping-it was about 105 degrees out. This kid packs clothes that have been packed away in bm's musty basement for several years. Seriously. He went to the basement, grabbed a bag of clothes without even bothering to look in it, and got in the car. The bag looked really full so dh assumed he had plenty of stuff. It was the nastiest crap I'd ever seen or smelt in my life. He wore his swimtrunks 4 days straight.

Another time-dh beat home the point that he must pack a nice outfit for my kids' baptism. Nice dress shorts, nice shirt, nice looking shoes. Even gave him specific suggestions on what articles to pack. The kid brought no shoes-except his grungy tennies, wore a pair of plaid shorts 2 sizes too large, a tshirt with a large stain down the front, with another button down plaid (completely differnt pattern than the shorts)shirt over the whole mess. I refused to take him. My dh scrambled to find him something halfway acceptable to wear. I refused to let him wear my ds's clothes. The kid is 13-ya cant tell me he cant figure this crap out-especially considering he wears khaki shorts, jeans, and polos to school every day as part of his dress code-all he had to do was wear his normal school clothes.

yes we just might pick them up at their moms. B/c ss16 won't be driving his own car to fl. lol I will make that suggestion. Thanks.
