Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Maybe she is confusing the fact that a child can be on your health insurance to support?
Your state's age of
Your state's age of emancipation is 18 or high school graduation, whichever comes later. Unless your CO says it goes until 25, she's delusional. I'm not sure if requires parents to pay for college or not.
Why is she even talking about CS ending when the child is 7?
Tsk Tsk
Tog, of course we know she is practically ORGASMIC over the bags of money and cash prizes she will get (CS) for having custody of skid. Don't they all?
For real, that is all she
For real, that is all she cares about. Canada has had a lapse in giving her the payment this month because of admin issues and she told SO he won't be talking to his daughter until she gets her payment.
Unless you live in Jersey, um
Unless you live in Jersey, um no. Your DH court order should specify.
Maybe she believes if she puts it out there early he won't find out the truth.
Her plan is to take him back
Her plan is to take him back to court to get more $$. Or so she says, but he makes about half of what she does so I just scoff and say good luck in my mind. But now I know when he starts making more money, there she will be, ready to collect.
What in divorce agreement?
Some times it written in the agreement, CS is paid until college is ended. Or he has to pay 1/2 of college. Hopefully nothing both.
Not unless he
Not unless he was insane enough to put it in their divorce agreement. Although that is possible. My DH is still paying alimony and child support is long passed so men do stupid sh*t when they just want it to be over.
