Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

He asked me for desert and I
He asked me for desert and I told him no, he didn't finish his dinner. He walked into our bedroom where is dad was and asked him. I heard him ask and I said "FSS, I already told you no." FSS said "I am not asking you, I am talking to my dad!" FDH jumped up and said "get to bed, you don't talk to overworked that way. If she said no, that is the same answer you get from me. We are a team."
Oh yay for you!! My SS AND SD
Oh yay for you!! My SS AND SD do this, but they will either go and whisper in DH's ear so that I can't hear, or they will wait until they can get him alone. DH has finally realized that when either one of them want to get him alone to 'talk', and they shut the door behind them and STILL whisper, that he probably ought to check with me before he agrees to anything... and it's always such silly stuff... like changing the channel to what THEY want to watch (they both have tv's in their room), or not taking a shower, or not using utensils to eat their meals with... they are filthy little manimals!! Anyway - glad your DH, and mine, got on board!
