Self Sufficiency--Perennial Veggie Garden

I know a lot of us are always trying to save money, and I'm the queen of saving in my family so, to step up my game, I'm turning my entire backyard into an edible landscape with only perennial veggies. No grass for me!

(Not to mention edible weeds like dandelion salads!)

Here's my list. I'm in zone 7 (NY) so it gets cold. My yard is thankfully directly south facing and I'm ripping up all the unnecessary bushes. (Only three or so, so it's not that hard.)

This includes both shade loving undergrowth, shade loving ground cover, and sun loving plants.

Fennel
Bunching Onions
Asparagus
Garlic
Bamboo (Acidosasa Edulis)
Siberian Purslane
Globe Artichoke
Ostrich Fern (Fiddleheads are soooo good!)
Ginger (White Butterfly and Torch)
Good King Henry

Fruit:
Raspberry
Alpine Strawberry
Maypop (Passiflora Incarnata)
Red Currant
White Currant
Concord Grapes

Anyone else have anything for my zone?

Basil
Mint
Thyme
Parsley
