Update on SD and her "illness"

It is NOT Addison's Disease. However, it is an adrenal issue. They said the last time she was in the hospital on IV for dehydration, they should have given her a steroid to help her adrenal glands recover and they did not, therefore they are still out of wack and are overworked again from being dehydrated AGAIN! So it all goes back to the very first time when BM didn't have the balls to MAKE SD drink SOMETHING to stay hydrated.

My mother-in-law is so pissed off that she wants to report BM for neglect. I hope she does. A few weeks after the first hospital stay, SD was with us and had a bout of throwing up. She threw up every 15 minutes for about 12 hours. Every time she threw up, we made her drink water. Even when she cried because she said she couldn't, we made her and low and behold, after 12 hours she stopped throwing up and was just fine! Not even close to being dehydrated. There is NO excuse for BM letting it get this bad AGAIN!!!

I really do think that BM has a touch of the muchausen by proxy. BM is on anxiety meds and tada... SD has anxiety. BM is sad and tada... SD is depressed. Either that or she just feeds off the drama of it all. SD isn't any better either. DH said as soon as BM walked out of the hospital room SD was asking him for a drink and something to eat and wanted to get up and explore the room. This is all such bullshit it isn't even funny and now I have to foot the f*in bill. 24-48 hour hospital stay, ambulance ride, CT scan, blood test and urine test, etc, etc ,etc. DH is staying with her and I guess BM is too and he said she is none too happy that he refuses to leave.

If DH stays then BM can't keep the illness dragging on and she has to share SD and the boo hoo spotlight. }:)

I agree with the above posters. Something is not right with this BM....

I am wondering if SD played it up for DH and the doctors and if BM was withholding food and drink and SD actually was asking for it. It also could just be that she felt better after getting IV fluids and maybe an antiemeretic.

I think it was a little of both. She played it up hard core last time too. To the point where the Doctors asked if DH and BM thought she ws faking a lot of it. I am sure that she felt better after the IV, but I find it ironic that as soon as BM was out of the room was when she asked.

BM's mothers husband works for SD's pediatrician, so BM and her mother are in his back pocket.

I have always said our BM had Munchausens or just a deperate need to see DSO.

One year she was told OSS had something a little off in bloodwork and it had to be redone. She called DSO and told him the boy had leukemia and waS on his deathbed. Nothing ever came of that, new blood work showed he was fine.

Next year, she took YSS to doctor saying it was his heart. She calls DSO and says the boy had 4 heart murmurs he was having a heart transplant. The skids were with us the following weekend and YSS was his usual loud, arguing self. I told DSO there was no way in hell that child had a heart problem or he would be in bed not able to move. DSO went to the heart doc with them and said the doc said the EKG and ultrasound were fine but that BM kept arguing with the doc. The doc asked BM if she was a doctor and BM had steam coming out of her ears when they left.
