On average, it takes a couple 6-8 months (yes, some get lucky the very first month but this is just the average) to conceive and doctors consider it normal to take up to a year (unless you're over 35 in which case you need to see your doctor after 6 months of trying). Try to be patient and not worry about it Smile

This. OP, unless you're having other problems (e.g. irregular periods, severe cramping where you cannot function, very heavy bleeding that you didn't have before), five months is still within the realms of normal.

How are you tracking when you ovulate? If you're just guessing or using an app on your phone, you could be missing ovulation and that could be part of the problem that would be easy to fix. I'd highly recommend checking out some pregnancy forums elsewhere. I used the Baby Center app and the forum there.

I use to be a nurse for a OB gyn. Yes, it will take some time. 7 year's with an IUD  your body is trying to figure out what happened..lol..

Relax treat yourself in to a me day. Feel like a woman.

If you still uneasy, an appointment can't hurt!
