O/T: Anyone else have RA or something similar??

I have rheumatoid arthritis.. diagnosed at 19. And it's freakin KILLIN me the last few days!!!!

Just had to get that out.

I've read that parafin baths help with RA, the heat really soothes your hands and feet. I have one, I think I only paid like $25 for it. Also, you should research natural aids for it, anything that is anti inflammatory should at least help a little. Sorry about your pain, I'm sure it really sucks! Hopefully you'll feel better soon.

If it's out there, I've tried it. I tried all the natural stuff I could find before I let them put me on the NSAID's and injections. I took Enbrel for about 5 years, now I take Humira. For the most part, I hardly ever feel bad, but man. Some days it's like nothing helps. Thanks for the support though :).
Now I kinda feel like a wuss for whining about it, lol.

You're not whining, it's a serious problem to have! My MIL has it so I'm constantly on the lookout for new relief options for her. I believe she takes Humira too. It's affected her back and she gets epidurals every few months that she says really helps. I read an article recently that said cherry juice is supposed to help the pain a lot. It's probably bullshit like a lot of the wonder cures you see on t.v., but it's worth trying!

Hmm.. I haven't heard that one yet, lol.. I'm gonna have to get me some cherry juice. Won't hurt!
