Really?! RUUUUUDE! (Ot)

Not a dh problem not a Skid problem just something funny I'd like to share.

One of the twins was getting ready for bed and dh burps so loudly little guy jumps up after nodding off for a second looks at dh and says "really?!...ruuuuude..say scuse me!" And falls asleep again.

Now I may not like that he called out his dad like that but since he's only turning two this month I'll let it slide ..but he wasn't wrong lol 

What are your thoughts?  Is it wrong of me to think it' funny and shrug it off?

I think maybe you're'e right...I also think maybe ds listens to how I say things a little too much...lol what two year old says things indignant like that? Lol he acted so offended

is it something you guys say to him? or something BM says to him?  Probably just a half asleep auto reaction but I wouldn't tolerate it when he's fully awake. It depends on if the person who burped says pardon really..

This is why I do not spend time with DH and SD.  I really disengaged from both of them.  It's the dynamic between the two of them that I hate the most.  DH does stupid sh!t and SD corrects him.  They're both wrong.  Children should not correct adults, but adults shouldn't do stupid things.  SD was 5 when I came into the picture and she was already criticizing the way DH was driving, I'm not kidding.  I wanted to holler at her but it wasn't my place, now I wish I had.  It turned into SD micromanaging everyone in the household, nitpicking everything.  You know, because she's perfect and her poop don't stink.  She's above adults, if you criticize anything about her behavior, you're being abusive.

If it happens again, you should nip it.

LOL. TBH I'd let it slide too. He's half asleep and then immeadiately fell back asleep, he may not have even remembered it later.

If he's fully awake it's a different story, but half asleep is a bit funny, especially when they immeadiately pass out again. If he's awake stand up for your DH and tell him not to speak to him like that, obviously, but when he's half-asleep, I think it's best just to chuckle and shrug it off. Especially since if you woke him up anyways he may not even remember it and would be confused as heck as to why he's getting in trouble.

However it sounds like you're teaching him manners and it's sticking Smile So that's a great sign! My skids had ZERO when I first moved down here, so kudos to you for teaching your kids some!!! To me that and common courtesy and morals are HUGE.

LOL that's cute, coming from a 2 year old... he must be repeating things he's heard.

I don't discipline my kids for calling out rude behaviour, unless they're rude about it themselves.
