Skid3 is suspended.

just.his.wife's picture

((Please note: Skid3 is 16 years old. I have four skids. She is the third in birth order, thus skid3.))

Three days into the Fricking school year. DH is losing his shyte as I type. Apparently the school nurse went to admin to have them call me to bring precious home as she was 'soooo emotionally fragile' after the confrontation in the girls room. Administration upon hearing there was a physical conflict haul both girls to the office.

The girl who stuffed skid3 into a garbage can is suspended for three days. (Fighting)

And then you have skid3. See there is a ZERO tolerance for bullying that apparently her school is really enforcing. Apparently admin found out that Skid3 told the same girl both days school was in session last week that her weave looked nappy, she was fat, and did her makeup like a clown. So yep, that is three days of Skid 3 bullying this girl over her looks, (School started thursday, so every single day skid3 has been messing with her). That qualified for bullying.

She has a 5 day external suspension. Followed by 30 school days at ALC. (Alternative Learning Center. Aka where the REALLY bad kids go to school) then she can return to her regular school. If she is caught bullying again, she will have to go back to ALC for the remainder of the school year.

I am taking bets now that she will bully someone over their looks while AT ALC and will never go back to her normal school this year. Any takers?

You know what... I am GLAD that her punishment is more severe than the other girls. She was defending herself. Your Skid needed to be "trash canned" IMHO.

Oh that is exactly what she needs. The kids that are there are the fun ones. Maybe she will learn a lesson about being a bully....

Some of those kids at ALC are not people I would mess with. Not all. My sweet nephew went there after his alcohol rehab. He's never been mean or a bully ever.

But there are some that literally could take you out without breaking a sweat and do it after school in such a way they'd leave no fingerprints. She needs to watch her back and understand that there are far worse things than being stuffed in a trash can.

"young male/female found dead in a pool of blood on the street. no witnesses." I see this reported almost every week.

Who is going to keep an eye on princess for those 5 days? I would make here volunteer at a shelter or clean toilets or something for the 5 days.

Telling someone their hair looks nappy is kind of racial isn't it?
Sorry that you have to deal with that, she should be glad that she was only stuffed into a garbage can & didn't get the crap beat out of her.

In my opinion it is racial. I don't know if the school addressed that or not. My conversation with DH was brief and mostly one sided- him ranting me listening.

The girl she got into the confrontation with, never reported it. Apparently the kid was willing to let the trash can stuffing be the end of it. But skid3 didn't want to face the embarrassment of going to class after it and caused a fuss and now she has her results.

Hope she enjoys.

:O :? LMAO - I don't know if I should admit this - and in my defence - here in Aus Nappies are what babies wear on their bums.... diapers you guys call them...

Soooo, I just thought it must be a new term for looking sh*tty....

sneaks back into the background laughing....

Oh her lesson is just starting: She has been kicked off the cheer leading team (automatic if they are suspended) and due to the suspension and ALC is ineligible for ANY school dance. No homecoming, no Christmas dance, no valentines day dance and NO PROM.

DH went and picked her up. This is one of those times I am very glad the school does not realize I have a POA from BM. Let HIM have to deal with HIS kid!

just.his.wife's picture

BM is in jail. When we tried to get Skid3 into counseling they couldn't see her without both parent's consent and participation on intake.

BM being in jail she simply could not participate. So she had her attorney send me a POA to act in her place for the skids for any legal/school/ medical issues. School however does NOT have a copy of that and won't until I need to use it. DH needs to deal with his kids. If it is an emergency then I will. But his kid being an asshole is not an emergency in my book.

I run the ALC in the district I work in... yep fun times!

I have seen kids normally go one of two ways when they are remanded for an extended period of time...
#1 They either learn their place in the "pecking order" so to speak and realize that there are much more hardened kids than them, they learn their lesson and stop or at least try to stop their bad behaviors OR #2 they rise to the occassion and fight for the "bad kid" status by escalating their bad behaviors so they can get respect from the much more hardened kids.

I pray your SD goes the #1 route!

I think its do freaking funny that the nurse was too concerned about her being emotional and fragile to go to class. She didn't get what she wanted which was to make you guys out to be the bad Guy and SD to be the victims that she got in way more trouble! Lmao

WOW. What's the beauty queen gonna do now that she's banned from the social activities!!!! So heartening to see the system at work. And you and DH holding that space. You'd think she would have learned, after the previous dramas in your house!

On one hand... They hit her where it would hurt most. Off the cheer team, out of social events, and sent to the "bad kid" school. Yay!
On the other hand: Damn. She gets a 5 day "vacation" from school. Hope your DH piles a half ton of punishments on her for the next week.

I went to Alt for poor grades (I wanted to go so I failed 2 trimesters worth of classes). Best Place Ever. Ours started at 8 and ran until 2:30 but we had off campus lunches, Fridays off if we were in school and not late Monday-Thursday, Half day and a field trip if we did miss. We never had homework because the teachers couldn't trust students to return their books.
I did learn time management, how to stand up for myself, and personal responsibility (I was in charge of getting up and getting to school every morning... without a bus or license. I walked everyday or arranged and paid for a ride). Seriously one of the most awesome things that ever happened to me.
Oh, and if we made honor roll our teacher treated us to breakfast. If we had perfect attendance we got the last day of the term off.
