Just wanting for it.

Employment in our Province can be a challenge because we are in a recession and even worse now like everywhere else globally. Since covid-19 people are very lucky to be still working. Both areas that DH and I are employed in are considered essential services so both of us are working and fully employed.

Skid makes $26 per hour and normally works 40 hours a week installing 3M on vehicles. He was laid off a few weeks ago, so on unemployment he can earn 55% of his wages up to $573 per week. Just as he applied for ei  (Canada's unemployment insurance), but was switched over to a new program called CERB ( Canadian Responce Emergency Responce Benefit) that pays him $2.000 per month. He has been off for 4 weeks and then called back to work. Apparently he really didn't feel like going back to work but he went.

skid25 left early on day 2 of back to work because he did not feel safe working there. He installs 3m on vehicles and he does this in an open front showroom and I guess the owner brought some people in and they were admiring the sports car skid was working on and did not maintain distance.

Skid texted the owner and told him why he left and that he is not comfortable working there.  The owner replied and put it off a little but had management make changes one of them being ropinging off his work area to maintain physical distancing.

skid still not working. I don't think he realizes that his money from the government will stop. If you get called back you have to go back other EI and CERB will not pay you. I don't talk to skid so I sent  an email with a link  to DH affirming. DH said nothing about my email, in fact got all snappy with a denfensive tone, saying he does not want to talk about it, and also said skid is a grown up and can figure things out himself.

So now when Skid comes asking for money for rent, food, gas, eveything. I will tell DH no we aren't giving it to him, "he is a grown up, he can figure this out himself.
I really think DH should warn him.

I would have looked to my parents for information on this stuff at 25 - nothing wrong with that.
