I'm not sure what to do for him, or what to get him. I've asked the girls for ideas, but we haven't come up with anything so far.

I'm in the same boat as you!

I'm leaning toward NOTHING. I was told on Mother's Day that I was not his mother, so no acknowledgement of the "holiday". I guess we've set the precedent. :::::sigh::::::

DH goes overboard for Mother's Day. I think of Father's Day as a chance to say "Thank You" for giving me 2 incredible kids.

Since we are in the poor house thanks to The Feckless Turd, I was going to make DH a...basket, for lack of a better term. It will have things like popcorn, new popcorn bowls. Snacks and snuggly stuff to sit on the couch and have a few at home dates.

I have our boys (5 and 3) make him cards. I don't even metion it to the stepturds anymore. I used to get angry when they didn't do anything for him for holidays. Then I started reminding them, then I stoped reminding them and just gave them the "You should feel like crap" look when they didn't do anything for him.

Ought to be interesting this year.

probably..we don't have any bio children together..but I'm raising SS as my own lack of him me actually giving birth to him. FH loves cologne and he is out of all of the ones he has. I'll prob. just get him a card too..

For mother's day he got me a card and flowers so I'll match him.

I KNOW BM will get him a father's day card and something too..bluck

since BM is taking half of his income and we can't afford the gas and hotel room for him to drive 4 hours to his kids' city for the weekend. We also can't afford the expense of entertaining his kids since it's guaranteed they won't be forking out any of their own money to treat him. Now that his son has a car and is fully capable of driving to our city, do you think the idea of visiting him will occur to them? I highly doubt it. Which suits me fine, as having them all here is always a nightmare and would defeat the purpose of the visit (which, in their minds, would be to get whatever they can out of him and do whatever they can to continue to make life hell for my daughter).

If he does end up staying home for the weekend, my daughter will plan something nice for him to help him feel better about not seeing his own kids.

My mother's day was shot, as with H's dog issue I did not get to go see my son. SD14 called and wished me happy Mother's Day, my bs was upset over that fact that I couldn't go see him (again, because BM wouldn't take H & SD14's dog). All H did was make me miserable, be mean, etc.

So I wasn't even going to acknowledge the day to him. Just get something ? for my own father. But maybe I'll do something for H. That would prove to him what an ass he truly is over the way I was treated on Mother's Day.

On second thought-naw. He wouldn't even notice.

I wouldnt even acknowledge his sorry ass...Would be just another wasted effort to even try to get him something..How is the new job going btw??

I still get a little lost on a few things, but all in all, it's ok.

You should see Max (my dog), tho! He is absolutely pouting that I'm gone 1/2 the day. When I get home, no greetings-he lays his big ole head on his favortie toy and GLARES at me for like 15 minutes before he'll have anything to do with me. LOL

things are going good for you..I want nothing but good things for you BW, you deserve it..

Aww poor Max, they can pout worse than kids at times...
