This is the most common phrase out of Softheart's mouth to DH. She asks for something every weekend we have her and always says that before she asks. One weekend it was $50 for one pair of jeans because "Mom won't buy me any and I ruined my one favorite pair." I told DH she did not need a $50 pair of jeans. She is a tom-boy and rough on clothes and shoes. I suggested taking her to Plato's Closet and letting her get a used pair. So that's what we did. Another weekend it was, "Daddy I hate to ask you for money but I need money for a ticket to Dollywood. If you don't have it I understand but I won't be able to go if I don't get it from you because mom won't give it to me." Of course he gave it to her. This weekend it was, "Daddy can you take me grocery shopping because I have no food to eat at home." I don't for a minute believe that she's NOT eating. She is borderline obese as it is. But of course...he took her grocery shopping. I don't know where all the CS her mother gets is going. The woman doesn't have a house payment or a car payment and she has a job. So WTF? I know that he feels guilty because Softheart "never asks for much". If you add all the "not much" she asks for together...it's getting to be much. She sent him a text last night asking for his Ebay information so she could order this best friend necklace that she found. "Daddy it's only $2 but if you don't have it I understand. I hate to ask you for it but mom won't get it for me." I told him I would flip shit if he sent her his Ebay information. So he just got her to send the link and said that he would get it and send it to her. I am sure he will forget, I am kind of hoping that he will. I am so over her guilt tripping him and him falling for it EVERY time.
