Never bathed

Ok so ss11 just shows up again. They live within walking distance. We live in a small town. Once again he smells to high heaven. He has on dirty shoes, pants, and a shirt full of holes. His hair you can smell when he walks by. Smells of must and nastiness. I know it's the mother but I'm not gonna have my baby around that with him putting his nasty hands in his face. So I left once again. I know I should speak to my husband and I have but rather than fight and argue I just leave. It's not healthy but it's the only way I can keep my blood pressure down. I've got some recent health issues and rather than stress myself out even more I just leave.

Boys at that age can be really nasty.  But what is your DH/SO's reaction?  Mine used to push the child into the bathroom and make them shower and change clothes.  If your partner ignores this, you have a partner problem not a SS problem.

We have a baby too and absolutely no! DS was only a few weeks old when this happened... SD11 got of the bus from school and immediately goes to touch the baby.

Me: I stopped her and said "Nope - wait! I need you to wash your hands first."

SD11: "Ughhhh"

Me: "You have germs on your hands and I don't want him getting sick."

SD11: "Nevermind then."

GOOD, I felt like saying! If you are too lazy to wash your hands and would rather be dirty, so be it. She doesn't need to be playing with my son then. Tell your SS the same. He will more than likely choose to stay dirty.

Thank you for the advice. I am definitely going to do this the next time. Dh has tried to teach him better hygiene. He makes him shower and put on deodorant when he gets here but when he comes back even as long as a month later he's wearing the same clothes. His hair is dark colored and smells like mold. He shows up in hot muggy 90 degree weather in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Dh explained to him he can't come here like that. That he could catch scabies from not bathing. Oh and there's times he's had what looked like bug bites that he'd scratched like crazy.
