So I posted on another person's blog about how YSDstb14 pushed DH over the edge right after Christmas with her harmonica "playing" and his good/bad reaction to it.

Well last night she was all up in our faces telling these stupid knock knock jokes, one after the other, for an hour. I wasn't there for part of the time but I could hear it. When I came in she told three of them, then I told her no more, it's done. Then she went after DH...who asked her to change the subject. She refused and kept on. DH asked again, she kept on.

Then he and I sat down to have our pizza and watch a show (she had already eaten since it was late). She planted herself in front of the tv and started again. DH told her either watch the show with us or do something else because he and I had a long work week and just wanted to relax for a bit. She KEPT on. At this point he said to her do you really want me to start yelling? Because it seems that's what you want....?!?! She starts getting all indignant and tries arguing back.

At this point I just want to eat and watch the dang show. So I tell her, listen YSD it's a matter of respect and being able to listen to other's opinion and feelings and accept them as valid. We have both told you many times we were done with the jokes so you need to respect that. It doesn't mean we don't like you or want to talk, it's just enough of that subject because we find it irritating. My friends and I tell each other stuff like that, 'hey, Cover, that's enough let's move on...' and I don't take offense. You just accept they are done and move on.

She got real quiet while I was talking, teared up and went to bed after. DH was like, WTH. I said, limits and teen emotions....
