I know this is off topic, but since there are so many women I could really use some help....

I had a hysterectomy some years back 'cuz I had an "alien" growing. Turns out it didn't heal and went through 4 surgeries trying to correct, almost died 3 times, etc. Finally got the ovaries taken out (which I didn't wanna do), b/c they were ruptured.

I came outta surgery w/a premarin patch and of course was put straight into Menopause in my mid 30's. When I got home and had pretty much recovered, I was sitting in my living room and was sooo pissed. I mean white hot pissed, couldn't figure out why??, Then talked myself down realizing it was irrational. The very same thing happened the next day at about the same time. This made me realize the dosage wasn't strong enough and the Dr. upped it and never had a mood or sweats problem since.

Since then a new Dr. took over and I glanced up and saw HER instructions on my regular Premarin Rx and it says, "take for 21 consecutive days followed by 7 days off. WTH? No one said anything to me regarding this before and I have been taking this Rx for about 4 years now w/no days off ever???

I looked up some of the side effects and was absolutey shocked. I never had any of these problems before, but now I have heel bone pain when on my feet for short amounts of time, severe back pain, have gained weight that I CANNOT lose w/regular exercize and pretty decent diet, lots of headaches and now my collar bone in each of my shoulders seem to be scraping and are aching bad, daily.

Has anyone experienced this or have any advice? I'm not really sure what to do here?

I would talk to your new dr and ask why the change in the prescription. Why the changes in the amt of days you take them. Also tell the new dr about your old dosages and days your would take them and see if there's any adverse effects due to this.

Some of your side effects can also be from other things. Weight gain that's hard to lose is a common side effect for women in menapause or even older people in general. I know your not tech menopausal age but your body thinks you are because of the total hysterectomy.

Also another thing with getting older is arthritis and osteoporosis which can be the heel and shoulder pain Are you drinking enough milk/taking a calcium supplement to help with the bone pain. Another good supplement to take is glucosemine chondrotin it helps rebuild cartilege.

Good Luck!!
