If by chance i get 50/50 custody will they divide the child support or will they consider all my overtime just go off my base salary or stop child support all together !
In NC 50/50 physical custody DOES matter. If both parents have more than 123 overnights there is a different calculation for joint/shared custody.
Go to ncchildsupport.com, click CSE guidelines and complete the worksheet for joint custody. That should answer your question. Basically, it boils down to which parent makes more money. Unless your incomes are equal, someone will pay some child support.
