Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Why would you send a copy to the BM? Is there any guarantee that she will read it? Maybe in her mind, she thinks she is perfectly 'normal' and fails to realize how her actions are affecting everyone else. I would just read the book and learn how to cope with the BM and save myself the money by not sending her a copy that she may just throw away. Also would save myself the aggravation if she just laughs in my face.

Nah, I wouldn't buy her a copy. I would read it then send her my copy. No use in wasting money. I probably wouldn't do that, but I have read that some have sent it to the BM and it helped. Just wondered how many have here.

It's so frustrating. But all that we can hope for is that when the skids are grown up they will see things clearly for themselves and remember who was there for them when they most needed it. It's a huge sacrifice we all make as SM and I'm really really hoping it pays off in the end.

i don't like the term stepwives. they're the current wives, why does the husband's past have any bearing on their title? not fair.
I don't like the term
I don't like the term either. I think they used it cause it sounded catchy.
