Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Not to be too revealing but I
Not to be too revealing but I work in HR for my employer. And he would be in the same area but a different function. He potentially could have access to my pay documents. Labor Relations advised me to have a chat with the hiring official, who I know and have a good work relationship, and explain the situation. I purposely keep my life super-private from BM because she is soooo out in left field and will used the dumbest stuff against me or DH. Like I bought a used car. That pissed her off and she screamed at both of us for more child support. My financial situation is completely separate from DH because of stuff like this. His name isn't on the car, he didn't even go with me when I bought it, but she saw it as money shared jointly and wanted her "piece of the pie." Easier to scream than to get a freaking job. LOL
I totally see where you are
I totally see where you are coming from. We don't want BM to have any access to either of our personal stuff. I hope your company can give you some advice on this. I'd be interested in knowing if they can do anything about this.

I have a staff person under me who's daughter works in HR. She is not allowed to see or touch records of her mom. I have to take everything to the HR manager (& they have a good relationship). Talk to HR.
