Sad I miss my baby girls. They are with their BD for a few days. He is a truck driver and never comes in to see them until it is convienient for him. Their SDaddy is the one they are around all the time and they love him but when their Daddy comes into town it is all about him and how great he is! UGH HAte it and miss them so much!

The best (and only) upside to having a completely absentee XH is that I have my children allll to myself. Every day, every holiday, no sharing.

If he were a decent person, I probably wouldn't mind sharing, but... hell hasn't frozen over yet. Wink

On the flipside, rest in the knowledge that the kids having their father in their lives is best for THEM.

As a step-father who was the primary male figure in my skids' lives for many years, I know that this hurts. I was the one doing all of the "fatherly" things for many years - attending conferences/plays/games, helping with homework, taking to activities, watching movies, etc. However, all of those things would just "disappear" once the "perfect" bio-daddies came around for a couple of days. It was sickening, watching these losers get their asses kissed after I did almost all of the parenting.

After many years of trying very hard, I gave up an disengaged. Recently, SD17 finally moved in with her "perfect" bio-daddy, after her drug habit was discovered. As I have posted other times, my life has been immeasurably enriched simply by her absence......
