Since I am searching online for a great romantic get a way for me and FDH that we can elope and have a honeymoon instead of work today }:) , I thought I would ask you! Where would you go (anywhere you can think of!) if you had a week with just you and your Honey?

Madeira, Portugal. Island in the Atlantic. Tropical. Tourist destination for Northern Europeans. Very beautiful. Great food. A lot of history. Very romantic. Lots of wine.

My grandfather is from there. We visited when I was younger and it has to be THE most spectacular island that I have ever been to.

If I could do a wedding "do over" I would go on one of those "weddingmoon cruises" to the Caribe. Turks and Caicos or something exotic like that.

Tahiti is definitely on my bucket list.

Actually my DH and I DO take a week-long vacation every year, just the two of us. We're going to Turks and Caicos.

Those are some great choices, US and outside! We were looking at St Thomas, or possibly doing some kind of chateau at a ski resort in the winter. We are so all over the place looking but thank you so much for new ideas!!

Santa Barbara, CA! Lovely B&B called Eagle Inn! Everything is within walking distance even the beach! DH and I went there for honeymoon! It was gorgeous and amazing!!
