It's great news, but came with a guilt trip.

My parents called to tell me that they paid off my card because they didn't want my Canadian credit rating to be screwed up. Then proceeded for the next two hours to beg me to come home.

I feel worst now then before.

I just feel bad. I got lectured long and hard to come home. They wnat me to come home. Finish university, do all that stuff.

I feel terrible.

Unfortunately, Snarky... I can't use any of the funds they sent me to help my situation.

All that it can do is just wipe out a little bit of that fantastic debt I owed I was going to pay off as soon as I was working.

It's just a hard time all around. Ontop of all this, I still have university to deal with... graciously paid for by the scholarships I earned while in Canada... unfortunately that scholarship was locked up in bureaucracy. My dad took the cash from his surgery money to pay for my tuition and the scholarship board will reimburse him.

And even then, I'm somehow paying extra to do my coursework here.

To top it all off... my period's MiA.

NM - I started in Nursing and got my diploma in Canada. Injured myself shortly after graduation, left the field completely and never registered.

I went back to university and met my DH after I finished my 3rd year.

I'm 1 semester from graduating from university... yay I'm in the top 5 of my class for B.Sc. Human Science. I was going to enter rehab medicine when I graduated but that's all in limbo.

As soon as I'm able to, I'll be using my psychology background to get a job as a substance abuse councilor.

My professor and my university is 3000 miles away up in the northern reaches of Canada.

We're all through internet delivery and we keep the conversation as professional as possible, university regulations for instructors to not become involved with student's lives. In addition the crappy situation could be used to gain sympathy which is a general no no, especially when you're ready to graduate.

NM, sorry if I made it sound like I was throwing a shoe at you... it wasn't intended.

I go home, I'll be bale to finish and all that stuff at the risk of my marriage falling apart. Distance never does anything good to a relationship, especially when/if I return without permission to leave then I'll be barred from re-entering the states for 5 years.

I stay.. it's this predicament that you're reading. It's hard no matter what choice I make.

The solutions my parents proposed were a little extreme, they offered to tip off immigration for me... of course that's a bad idea all together.

It won't do much because I hired a very good (and expensive) lawyer that even if a deportation order came out, I won't be going anywhere (if my lawyer fails my case then I get a refund). All it'll do is increase our legal fees.

My parents live in Canada. And yes, my DH does work but the CS is draining us so hard we just can't break even.

For the obvious privacy reasons, I can't actualy talk about what he does but I will say that he works for a medical warehouse corporation on night shifts as well as the national guard thing.

As to who would be deporting me... Immigration & Customs Services.

Deportation right now is not a good option. Reason being that I hired a good, and expensive lawyer to deal with our immigration case because of the legalities of everything going on. (Seriously, I came here and overstayed my visa). If a deportation order goes out, the lawyers fight it, I stay here. All that changes is now I owe the lawyers more money.
