H said He wants to go away to a cabin

So after a weekend of being berated by my darling husband.. EggS this morning had too much tomato and pepper, I served our BD too much food for lunch, I wasn't sensitive enough towards SS when he started coughing at lunch because he choked a bit..
So when I mention to h that being extremely negative doesn't help, he told me well I've given up on trying to get you to do it any other way. hmm, why can't you just take over if I'm doing something you don't like, I mean we go through this same routine every Sunday. we've gotta feed the kids lunch by like 12-1 so we can go to your moms, to then drop off SS. He nods. Ok then why am I alone on preparing everything. His response: I've told you I'm tired of the back and forth. honestly I just want to get away from it all and go to a cabin by myself for a month.
So I walk away to do dishes and he wonders why?
Gee, what could I possibly say about improving our marriage or child-rearing when you in effect said you wish you had neither?
Is anyone else's h a complete dip shit sometimes too??

Ah yes, but of course! Here's a conversation that has taken place more than once with my SO.

On the phone:
SO: Hey, how are you?
Me: Good...
SO: Are the Skids behaving?
Me: HAHAHA...no
SO: What happened now?
Me: SS ignored me all morning & SD has decided that our rules aren't good enough for her
SO: GREAT, see ya when I get home, love you!

He gets home:
SO takes care of disciplining skids, turns to me & says "why do I even bother coming home!!!!! Why, can't just ONCE I come home & have you in a good mood & have them behave? Is that too much to ask???"...I typically respond with "I think my mood is just fine, thank you very much! Being yelled at over someone else being a turd is a bit of a downer though! I'm so sorry that your children are being hideous today...I wouldn't consider it my fault but if you'd like to leave so that they can continue, you go right ahead...SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy I'm here for you!"

Smile Me thinks quite a few of us have complaints over our loving SO's/DH's.

Sorry you had a pooty day! Chin up!

On a consistent & constant! There are nights that DH comes home from work, goes to his meetings, and then works out at the gym for 2 hours...then comes homes to complain about dinner? Yeah...I tend to blow up after 15 hours of time with SS13...
Sometimes? I would love to slap DH in the head, but then he'd swear I had anger issues...Chin up, lady! I'm sure our DHs would have plenty of things to complain about us...oh well!
